What is a coronavirus? How coronavirus kills and spreading

What is a coronavirus? How coronavirus kills

Since January 2020, news showed on our televisions saying there is a virus roaming around and is deadly. First found in Wuhan, China, no proper evidence has come up indicating its origin. Taking the world by storm, shutting the global economy and making people suffer while nature thrived.

Why is coronavirus the name given to this virus?

Every country on this planet had to enforce strict lockdown to control the spread of SARS COV2, named after its crown like protein spike on its outer membrane. This virus causes a disease which is called Covid-19. This virus spreads from one person to another and can be lethal for old citizens of a country.

How does coronavirus spread?

An adult human being releases around 3000 droplets every time he/she coughs while 10,000 droplets come out when the same person sneezes, these droplets can go as far as 1 meter and can enter other person’s body through nose or mouth which would first effect throat then lungs and furthermore as it hinders with our immune system and makes a body weak. Each droplet carries around 2 million coronaviruses.

What is a coronavirus?

A virus is neither a living thing or a non-living, it requires a host to behave like a living thing. It is a spherical shaped virus with protein spike on the outer surface which helps it in attaching to the Ace2 receptors in our lungs. Inside the surface it contains RNA which contains instructions to reproduce.

How coronavirus kills?

Coronavirus once enters into you body via mouth or nose, then it looks for ace2 receptors which are only present in the lungs of our body. The spike protein attaches to the ace receptor, which gives a signal to the cell that it’s not a foreign body and allows it to enter through its cell membrane. It then hijacks the nucleus and instructs it to stop other functions and start producing copies of the virus. This continues till the membrane is completely filled with coronaviruses, then the membrane breaks and millions of coronaviruses. This process takes about 2-10 days, during which a patient doesn’t show any symptoms.

Our immune system then activates and starts fighting which causes fever. Fever is basically out body’s way to kill foreign objects by creating a hostile environment.

Why is it more risky for old people?

A healthy and young body has good immunity and vigorous anti bodies building power. That’s what old people can’t do efficiently,  as they have less cell regeneration, low immunity. Which makes it difficult for an old patient, in addition to that old people these days tend to have other prior conditions resulting in serious problems for an old body.

How does our body fight with coronavirus?

Our advanced immune system analyses the threat which in this case is coronavirus, then adapting according to it finding a solution. The Advanced immune system also known as Adaptive immune system starts forming spike like structures, which attaches to the spikes of coronavirus, stopping it from attaching to any cell membrane. And is how vaccines work too,

A vaccine is nothing but a head start, which helps our advanced immune system stay prepared and not waste time in analysing. How do they help? These vaccines contain genome structure to form these antibodies/spikes, which helps our system ready this coronavirus early and start producing antibodies from the start.

One year and a few months later, we are at a stage where we have more than 3 million death reports, and there will be many more which aren’t reported. As humanity fights through this pandemic, this world has changed. From working in an office to working from home, eating outside to cooking at home. Fighting to be even stronger.

Most of the Covid-19 positive cases get cured under home treatment, only if there is a variation of 4 per cent or more in patients oxygen level before and after 6 minutes of walking, then in such case hospital admission may be required.

Apart from yoga, pranayam, good nutrition, loads of fluid, covid-positive patients must track their oxygen level and fever.

For an accurate judgment of the oxygen level, patients are suggested to check their oxygen level first, then they have to walk for 6 six-minute, then after this, patients have to check their oxygen level again. Patients can perform this task by walking in their isolation rooms. This test can be practised 2-3 times in a day. If these readings are normal, then there is no requirement for hospital admission.

> there is a 4 per cent or more variation in oxygen level before and after 6 minutes walking test.

In such cases, if the oxygen level is below 94 per cent, you should lie face down on your belly to improve the oxygen level in your body.

On the other side, if a patient is only feeling fever, then only paracetamol is required.

AIIMS director Dr Ramdeep Guleria has told that more than 85 per cent of the covid-19 patients can recover without any special treatment. “Oxygen is a treatment, it is like a drug. There is no data that shows that this will be of any help to the patients and is, therefore, ill-advised,” he said. Adding that healthy person with oxygen saturation in the range of 93-94 per cent does not require taking high-flow oxygen to control the optimum saturation level. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy.

Avoiding Mask & social distancing after Vaccination – Is it safe?

1

Avoiding Mask & social distancing after Vaccination

The vaccination process is on the go. Many of us have recently been vaccinated against COVID-19. And most probably all are feeling pretty relieved! However, there might be a question in everyone’s mind that “Should I wear a mask and social distance after I’m vaccinated?” Let’s understand, Avoiding Mask & social distancing after Vaccination is safe or not.

Should I wear a mask and social distance after I’m vaccinated?

Yes, it is important to wear a mask and maintain social distance. Especially, when you’re in public—at least for now, you must have to follow this.

Experts are still researching how the COVID-19 vaccines are working to protect people. Even though you’re successfully vaccinated, for right now, it’s still the safest option to take precautions, especially when you’re in public.

Precautions to take even after COVID-19 vaccination

  1. Keep wearing your mask
  2. Maintain Social distance at least 6 ft (1.8 m).
  3. Wash your hands frequently
  4. Try to avoid crowded places
  5. Avoid areas that lacks good ventilation

All these precautions could decrease your exposure to the virus.

So, it’s probably still good to avoid all large gatherings for now.  In such a situation, you might feel a little frustrating because you still need to take the same steps that you were following before vaccination.

Always remember—by getting vaccinated against the COVID-19 Virus, you’re doing your part to help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 so we can all get back to regular life sooner rather than later!

So, it is clear, in public places, those who are fully vaccinated against COVID Virus should continue to follow the required guidelines of wearing masks and other pandemic prevention.

Life cycle of a Cashew Nut, seed to shelf and health benefit

Life cycle of a Cashew Nut, seed to shelf

Food as we all know is very important for us, still, we as humans did the most humane thing we could possibly do, divided food items on various characteristics. There are fruits and then there are vegetables, along with many subcategories alongside these two.

Dry fruits are one of them, out of them all Cashew nut is one of the most appealing to the general public with its stable flavour and creamy nature. It’s also used extensively in sweet dishes as well, which makes it worth even more. Here’s how cashew seed moves from seed to shelf.

Introduction

in this article we have mention Life of a Cashew nuts tree to ready product to eat and how it beneficial for human health.
A cashew seed is processed in factories with manual labour or with machinery. The final product is known as the cashew nut which goes through a lot of stress and beating. These are vital for our human body as they are rich in protein, iron, vitamin-b6, calcium, etc. Along with that, they have a good shelf life as well which obviously depend on its quality as well but on average they last for 6 months at room temperature kept in a dry place in an airtight container.

Origin of Cashew nut

origin of cashew Many of you don’t know that these little nuts grow on trees and aren’t in this white colour from the beginning. They grow only in Tropical evergreen areas, where cashew tree thrives to produce cashew seeds and cashew apple pseudo fruit. It is grown all over the world but Ghana, Africa which is famous for it coffee beans and cashew seeds is preferred over every other option as they produce in big quantities yet at a cheaper cost.

So, let’s dive into the process straight away. It’s not how you think they are processed. I bet you’ll be amazed.

Roasting of Cashew seeds

As the raw seeds of cashew are brought into the factory they are straight away sent to the roasting block. This is done in order to make the shell harder and separate from the actual nut inside. So, this process involves, putting these seeds into a furnace at 150-degree Celcius temperature approximately for 2 mins. Timing is very important as anything more than 2 minutes or less would not result in the cashew nut we see in markets. As they are taken out of the furnace, they turn from a raw seed to a hard shell, black in colour. Then they are moved to the shelling area immediately while they are hot.

Shelling of Cashews

Here, these hard and warm shells are dipped in water and then beaten with a hammer or a wooden stick. You have to apply some force but making sure that the nut inside doesn’t break as the shell is hard but the nut isn’t. After the shell breaks, we see a similar looking nut which we see in local markets, but there is still work to do as it still has a peel over it which need to be removed.

Drying of Borma Cashews

borma cashewTrays full of wet cashews are kept in a drier, kept at 110 degrees stored in a chamber for one day. This process is crucial because we still have a peel over the cashew which isn’t easy to remove, to separate cashew from the layer this is done. Taken out of the storage area, these cashews are known as Borma cashews.

Peeling of Borma Cashews

Borma cashews are pale in colour with a removable layer on them which is removed manually or with a machine, but this step is very delicate as nuts are quite easy to break and a broken nut has less market value. So, the thin layer is carefully peeled off. Now we can see the cashew which is available to us, still needs a bit of refinement.

Grading of Cashews

As we begin to see our product, it’s time to grade them according to their shape, quality and size. The best grade cashews are the ones that are white in colour and big in size, these are called, “The king cashews”. Divided and kept in separate containers, which are then taken to packaging.

Pro tip: Yellow cashews, have a short shelf life and are processed with machines. While white cashews have a longer shelf life and are processed manually with hands.

Packaging of Cashews

These separated cashew nuts are then checked for impurities and if found, those impurities are removed. Again, a quality inspection is done, so that any unwanted element passes through. Packed and sealed in boxes of various sizes, they are sent to the buyers to enjoy.

Things to remember before eating Cashew nuts

cashew nut wooden final productCashew nuts are quite easy to eat but quite hard to process, we showed the journey of a seed from beginning till the end, from seed to shelf. So, the next time you eat a cashew nut, remember how much hard work is put into it. While the rest of us enjoy it.

Benefits of cashew nuts for male and female

Many people eat cashews on a daily basis without realising where they come from. When offered as a snack, the nut seems raw and natural, yet it is hazardous in its fresh-picked form. It cannot be eaten safely until it has been roasted.

Even after the appropriate heat treatment, the cashew’s skin must be removed in order to reach the delicious substance within. This labor-intensive method explains not just the cashew’s high price, but also its coveted position even among comparable nuts.

Cashews are indigenous to Central and South America, as well as a few of Caribbean islands. They have been enjoyed for thousands of years in various locations.

The nut was first discovered by Europeans in the late 1500s. They swiftly spread to India and portions of Africa after that. They were not well-known in the United States until the General Food Corporation started exporting them in bulk during the 1920s. Americans, on the other hand, are now among the world’s most devoted cashew users.

Clubhouse losing popularity? Why the social network is losing hype?

0

The clubhouse is losing popularity: the number of downloads of the application is inexorably decreasing day by day. Not that no one expected this, but still, the speed of the downfall is surprising. Let’s figure out why this is happening.

Is Clubhouse really losing popularity?

Yes, by observing the no. of downloads in February and March, we can say the social network hype is dying out. Amid this news, there are rumours that Twitter is considering acquiring the dying social network. According to Bloomberg, Jack Dorsey’s company offered the founders of the Clubhouse four billion dollars, but something came to a standstill.

Clubhouse losing popularity | What are the reasons behind it?

There are several assumptions. According to experts, Clubhouse is designed in such a way that it is difficult for it to retain users. Young people are not ready to spend half an hour on a conversation at the Clubhouse in order to understand whether they are interested in it or not.

Finally, the concept of “clubhouse” was adopted by other social networks. After all, it is not technically difficult to implement it. Something similar has already been introduced by Telegram; an analogue of Clubhouse is being prepared by Twitter and Facebook.

Maybe in the future, the Clubhouse will leave our life as imperceptibly as it came into it. The hype is short-lived, and the clubhouse doesn’t have many retention tools.
