Delhi is going to start a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am. This will start from today night till April 30.
This is the hardest order by the government of Delhi since the commencement of a fresh wave of coronavirus infections last month.
On Friday Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Delhi was going through the 4th infectious wave of Coronavirus but a lockdown was not being held yet.
“As per the current situation, we are not considering imposing a lockdown. We are closely monitoring the situation and such a decision will only be taken after due public consultation,” he had told reporters.
Delhi recorded 15 deaths and 3,548 fresh cases On Monday.

More Details About Night Curfew In Delhi
During night curfew hours i.e from 10 pm to 5 am, the flow of traffic would not be discontinued and those going for COVID-19 vaccinations will be released with an e-pass, Govt. officials said.
Retailers and those in essential services who need to travel after hours for vegetables, milk, ration, grocery stocks, and medicines are also going to be allowed with e-passes. Private doctors, nurses plus other medical staff would be permitted for movement with Original ID cards.
Exceptions also include pregnant women and those needing medical treatment.
The Delhi government said, The night curfew is to control the movement of not essential services and the general public.
States like Rajasthan and Maharashtra have also started night curfews to limit movement during the spike in Covid cases across the country. On Monday, the number of COVID cases in 24 hours crossed 1lakh for the very 1st time in India.
Maharashtra has declared a tough 8 pm to 7 am curfew and a weekend lockdown. Night curfew in Rajasthan is from 8 pm to 6 am.
