The curbs on all 4 Madhya Pradesh districts is going to continue till 6 am on the 5th of April. The state government has imposed a lockdown in 4 districts of Madhya Pradesh which also include urban areas of Chhindwara district, Betul, Ratlam city and Khargone, as COVID-19 cases are increasing rapidly.
Lockdown in 4 districts of Madhya Pradesh
On Thursday (April 1) from 10 pm, the lockdown was imposed in Ratlam city and Chhindwara’s urban areas. And some urban areas of Khargone district plus Betul district was under lockdown from 8 pm and from 10 pm respectively on Friday. The curbs on all these 4 regions are going to remain till 6 am on April 5.

Earlier, in Twelve districts including these 4 amid top in COVID-19 cases, the state govt. of Madhya Pradesh had imposed Sunday Lockdown.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh) on Friday told journalists that several teams of some senior officials have been sent to all these four regions to check the coronavirus situation there, in order to provide assistance to the local administration in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In view of the spurt in coronavirus cases in Chhindwara, which shares border with Maharashtra, and to effectively control it, a three-day lockdown has been imposed in the district,” he was quoted as saying by PTI.

In addition, he directed people to stay at home during celebrating festivals, while recommending eligible people to get COVID-19 vaccination.
As per the Ministry of Health data, there were 18,057 active COVID-19 cases registered with 961 fresh cases as of April 2. With 12 more deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll in Madhya Pradesh stood at 3,998.
