Don’t have a PUC certificate in Delhi? Go get a pollution control certificate, to get petrol: As per reports, 90 enforcement teams will take control over this new guideline, government is continuously sending SMSes to the owners of the vehicles without valid PUC certificates. All those who do not have a PUC Certificate should go to get their vehicles checked immediately.

Important News: The Delhi government has made PUC certificate compulsory for vehicle owners to get their vehicles refilled from fuel stations. Now, vehicle owners have to show a valid PUC certificate at the fuel station to get their vehicles refilled. All these changes will strictly come into existence from October 25, in Delhi.

What is PUC Certificate? 2 million vehicles in Delhi do not have a valid PUCC

The vehicles could pollute the environment to a great extent if they fail PUC Test. PUC Certificate provided to vehicles that pass the PUC Test successfully. PUC Certificate indicates that the vehicle’s emissions are not harmful to the environment.

Nearly 2 million vehicles in Delhi do not have a valid PUCC, Delhi government announced on Saturday that from October 25, vehicle owners without PUCC will not be able to refuel at city fuel stations.

Be ready and make a habit to carry a valid Pollution Under Control certificate along your vehicle. 

90 enforcement teams will take control of this new guideline, the government is continuously sending SMSes to the owners of vehicles without valid PUC certificates. All those who do not have a PUC Certificate should go to get their vehicles checked immediately.

As per Delhi government data, a sum of 1,936,880 (2 Million) vehicle owners in Delhi do not have a valid PUCC as on September 25. 

“Presently, there is no mechanism for checking whether the vehicles whose PUCC have expired are plying or not. It can be checked at the time of re-fuelling of the vehicle or during the enforcement drives which are carried out by the transport department regularly, especially during the winter months,” said a transport department official who requested not to be named.
